Week 31- Y2- Final week of Little Woman rehearsal

So this week we have Tom guest helping us with rehearsal. Each day Tom will focus on a cast. so today cast one did a whole run through up until scene 11. He's doing it so that he changes the small little details, which is really going to help pull the show together and make the final touches. Whilst they were rehearsing, cast one two and three went into the empty dance studio to rehearse. There weren't many people in so it was a bit tough as we kept on having to change as we filled in for others. We took turns in scenes helping each other out. Today we did some really good rehearsal after lunch. We focused mainly on scene 8 and 9 where Amy and Jo have an argument. Kane was watching and he really focused on small details and made us change a few things. It really helped to tie them in together. I feel a lot more confident with them scenes now too.

Today cast three was with Tom guest as our Jo wasn't in. During rehearsal we didn't really add much on, we focused more on making sure we know what's going on in the scene so that we feel more confident. I focused more on learning lines today.

Finally cast two's turn to rehearse! We had a great day of rehearsal as a lot of necessary things were added, and I can now play my character better too. Tom kept on pushing me to play her as more and more braty, meaning I had too add more power to certain words and enthuse them more. It really helped to bring the full character out of Amy. The most scenes that changed would be scene two where they are doing the witches curse show. I've always done it super dramatic and I guess 'good' for the character. Tom and Kelly kept on saying that I was doing it far too well. I needed to do it really really bad. After a few takes I got it. I just have to use one tone and a monotone voice and make it super awkward. I have to also remember that she really doesn't want to even be involved, she couldn't care less about the show. I really liked today's rehearsal and I'm proud. I do wish we had more time to just do our cast but I also know that we can do it by ourselves as were all very nervous and want it to be the best it can be. It's just nice to have proper directors help.

I worked loads on costumes today! This was great and very much needed as it's a little bit of a concern at the moment. It's just a little bit tricky because there's so many of us and were all different sizes and the costumes are expensive! me and the costume team have been working on trying to fit people who are the same sizes in the same costume but then, them also having to be in different casts so that they can actually share. initially we started off quite big by giving each character their own colours etc now we're more thinking about who can just share. As long as people in the same casts don't have the same colour and it fits the role then it's fine! Today I and one other person in the costume went to the costume room to see what we had that we could use. We actually found a few things in there! I personally found a purple dress that Amy could use for the witches curse scene 2, as part of her costume:
It all depends if we have enough time to change though. I also found two long black capes that will be used for Hugo and Rodrego for that same scene. I found a cute light blue skirt that us Amy's can wear for act one too! and we can just pair it with a white shirt. I also found a perfect vest for Fred Vaughn.
We also found some other vests for the brookes and Ned Moffat and some random dresses that could be used in the ballroom scene:
We have a costume sorted out for Aunt March and Hannah! We have three tailcoats that are going to be used for Ned, Laurie and the Brookes too. Kelly had ordered two dresses in for Jo and maybe Marmee with the money that we fund raised. But they ended up being too small so one is now for the Amy's in act 2:
