The last Resort🏖

Me, sienna, Milly and Adam were all really excited to perform as Seagulls. In a way it felt very sentimental, we stated as this group at the beginning on year 2 and now we’re finishing it together. I think it’s very cute. We all worked super hard in little woman, so we decided that we’d take on a smaller role. It was still one that we put loads of work in though, and added more to it to make it even better. We didn’t add any words but we added a lot more actions for after the scene to keep it going for a little longer. Initially making the role bigger. We have each seagull characterisation to show the difference and make it more entertaining. My seagull was a chav and her main lines was “Oh Yeah!”. Adam was an old grandpa that coughed in between every odd sentence. Milly was a butch girl who had a really deep voice. And finally sienna was a French seagull. The fact that we’re all so random and different adds a lot more comedy into it, making everyone stand out even more. We also made our costumes different to each other. We still needed to look like seagulls but we wanted to show our personalities. So I wore these white shorts with a white tank and put my hair in a really high pineapple bun. Adam wore a white t-shirt and white shorts and then a beard. Milly worse a white top and white shorts with a highlight vest top. And finally sienna wore a white dress. So our scenes end with us shouting “yeah” at each other, but we made it so that we take turns in saying it. When Adam says it he begins to cough and then sienna looks at him in pity and they hold hands. It looks like they’re about to kiss so me being in the middle try to join the kiss. They look at each other in disgust. Then Milly looks at the fish and puts her hand on siennas shoulder, sienna does the same to me and then I do it to Adam. We all look at each other before we begin to fight for it. I grab the fish and they don’t realise so they’re still fighting for it. I look at them, whilst they’re confused about where it’s gone, they all slowly turn to look at me and start chasing me, until we’re all off stage. So everything I just said there, was added.  It was really funny to do in person and we got a lot of laughs from the audience. They were a fun little character to play, and end the year in. The show as a whole, went really good. My classmates Geoffrey fire tied it with the assistant director Elliot. I’m so proud of them to have directed a whole show by themselves without any help. Each person put there all into their characters to ensure that our final performance turns out great, and it did.
