Week 24- Y2

Over the weekend we decided that we were gonna re-film it, as Kelly watched it and she just said that she wants to send off the best version she can. I'm glad that we got to re-film it today as I wasn't amazingly happy with how it went on Thursday. The first thing we did was go through the scene that had gone wrong, because we definitely didn't want it to go wrong again. Afterwards we began filming. It went really well. I know that there was one little mess up with a line where it was said at the wrong time so it got repeated, but it wasn't noticeable so we were all happy with the outcome. One thing I didn't like was how I fell. I like slid halfway across the stage so I just looked like I tried to rugby tackle someone, but It's fineee.

#YOLO is this week on Thursday so us year 2's are going to be rehearsing a lot for it this week. This photo was taken during rehearsals as our characters. This was taken during scene 3, which is the party scene. Mine and Sienna's characters, Nat and Tash are best friends, so these characters are quite easy for us to play. We'd just do what we normally would, the only difference was that I'd say is that they are quite sassy, like they're sense of humour is by being rude to others, but it goes well with the group because they all bounce off each other. I and most people have learnt their lines. It honestly made me worried, only a select few of us were completely off script, and I'm not trying to be rude but our show is on Thursday. Lines should have been learnt a while ago. I do believe that they will have them learnt by Thursday it just adds unnecessary stress. Some people did just bring a script just in case as well so hopefully by tomorrow they'll be gone. Today was the first time we went through it with the first years filling in as extras. So we spent quite a bit of time showing them what they need to do. we went up to scene three today, which doesn't seem like a lot. But they are quite big scenes with a lot of people so it took a while to show the first years what was happening. Me and Sienna are a part of set and design so we also showed the first years what the set was and where they needed to move things. For scene one there wasn't any set needed as it's the scene where we open our results. We just need a sheet of paper with results on. We showed the first years where they needed to go. They were lacking quite a bit of energy, but we told them so hopefully they will add a bit more next time. The next scene was between Jack and Johnno. This always goes good, the chemistry is always shown and it's a good way to show the audience their friendship. That scene also doesn't have any set. Scene three however has quite a bit. We have a sofa, a table for the drinks, and a bar. But we also have a lot of props such as alcohol bottles and drinking cups. We showed them where they go and how to bring them off and on stage. We had already told them about the costume a while back so they have that sorted. Once again they were lacking quite a bit of energy but it was their first run through of it. Overall I'd say we did a good run through today as we have them set in stone now. Today we actually found out that we will actually be performing #YOLO next Thursday now. This was because we accidentally told the writer for the show that we'd do it on the 30th instead. I think that It's honestly better to perform it next Thursday as I don't think people are ready.

Today we started the day off by being a part of Freya White-house's (A film and TV student) video. She did some ballet and we just got to watch as part of the audience. She's such a talented and amazing person!! Today was so fun! I did some filming for the film and TV students as part of their assignment. They have to make it as a show, and Hollie, Tamara and Alex choose to do X factor so we have to sing. I cannot sing at all! Sadly haha. They asked Dylan who is a part of the HE acting to sing. He can actually sing so well. Then me, Sienna, Kadie and Emie were a girl group and sing together. And then Kenz and Jack to sing together (From Film and TV). We made ours to be comedic since not all of us can actually sing. It was all improvisation as well, which made it even funner. Whilst they set up we went into the costume room and picked up some random clothing to put on. We went with a leather jacket theme so we all wore one. Then we put some random bottoms on. We kinda seemed like a rock band. I wore some lowrise red flares, Sienna wore black leggings, Kadie wore some massive black leather pants that fall down, and Emie put these white pants on. We all honestly looked crazy. Kadie also held a basket ball, which added to the scene and sienna wore these massive chains. It was all just so odd and funny. Beofre they finished setting up we decided what song to sing. We decided that we would make ourselves look like a rock band but then sing a really girly song, which ended up to be 'Call me maybe' by Carly Rae Jepsen. It was so fun. Our scene took around 10 mins which was a lot since we didn't have a script. I'm sure a lot of it is going to be cut out. I'll add the final piece here: Show us your Pipes. There were a few things that had gone wrong. I feel like the audio isn't that great because it's very difficult to make out what we are saying. I'm also not a huge fan of the camera placement for us. I think another camera facing towards us would have been great! and a lot of the funny parts were cut out but that makes sense otherwise it would have been wayyy too long.
