Week 21- Y2

First day back to college after our half term. On the week off I learnt all of my lines for connections, so that I could be off script for rehearsals. Which helps me to act better as I'm not looking down at a script and I can focus on my reactions and surroundings. I think that rehearsals went well today as most people are completely off script now. 

28/02/23

There were a few things going on today! I don't remember if I have talked about a script that I have been writing with my friend Sienna. Some of us joint a writing group where we get to write our own script to send off to the national theatre! Our writing mentor Tess, is coming in today to talk to us separately about our script. She didn't actually get time to talk to all of us so she's coming in next Tuesday to finish talking to the rest of us. Some photographers also came in to take some photos to help promote the college and our course. So we took some time doing that. We worked on some scenes for #YOLO. We mostly did the scenes with just two people in as hardly anyone was in. After lunch we got working on connections. We mostly worked on scene 8 which is the scene where we start preparing to shoot the film. This scene is the one that we really need energy for, which for some reason we were finding it hard. I've also been really Ill which isn't helping!!

02/03/23

So I had to miss yesterday because I have just been so Ill, I still really am,  but I've forced myself to come in because I hate having days off, and I really don't like missing rehearsals. A lot of people went out filming today so there were only a few of us in. My teachers were also out filming. We all worked really hard today, and we all focused on what we needed too. I started off by learning my lines for #YOLO since we couldn't rehearse as not enough people were in, but then we began doing things for connections. They showed me what they had done yesterday which was some of the ending scenes, which I had never done before. We added a bit where Zafer is talking about how they need to tell the police..." I'm going to tell them what we did, that we were there. That we gave him the knife, wiped the blood of his hands....". We added a flash back in where we run on stage and showed what actually happened. There's a flashback where we run on stage and talk about meeting behind the skip. That was like a 'fake' memory, this is what actually happened. Another thing I worked on with Gracie who is playing older Belle, is a scene where the youngers and olders sync up. the youngers sit or stand in front of the olders and do the exact same thing. This is for when we were all being questioned by the police.
