Week 20- Y2

13/02/23

First day back after being gone for a week and I start off with filming my scene from Unbroken as Nancy! I'm quite excited to film actually as I haven't for a while!! and of course I want to be a film actress so any time on film is great! I went and got my makeup done by the makeup artist which was nice, they did a nice natural look so nothing special, although it's more makeup than I usually wear so it did feel a little special, but still. They didn't change my hair just straightened it again. I then went and got changed into my costume. I brought some tights, flats, a skirt and a blouse with me. The person in charge of the costume gave me a blazer and a tie. Here's a picture of me and Laura in our costumes! Laura and I went through our lines quickly to ensure that we know them and it was all good. Whilst the camera people were setting up we went to the space that we were shooting in and began to stage it out! the Manager of the film Alex was REALLY handy and made it all so much easier! she gave us ideas and feedback on where we should walk and when we should do certain movements, she honestly made it look so good! It took us a few shots as there were people constantly walking in and out as people's lessons were ending. Overall I think that it was a good shoot and my best experience yet with filming. I filmed for the majority of the day. afterwards I went to rehearse for a flash mob that we'll be doing tomorrow. Were going to promote pretty woman which is coming to the Globe!!! how exciting!!!

Today we all met up at the Link near the Globe. We all had to wear clothes from the 80/90's, so colourful clothes, crazy hair and scrunchies. The boys get to wear a suit if they'd like. It was really good, a few people stopped to watch and at the end we gave out roses which had a discount code to go and watch pretty women at the Globe. I would love to go!!!
Here's a link to a TikTok that has been posted on our college account, showing what we did.

It's my first proper day of rehearsals for connections as Belle anyway. I feel like I missed quite a bit, but Adam caught me up and I knew what I had to do nearly straight away. I really like how It's coming along!! We went through scenes 7-9 I'm pretty sure. These were the bulldog scenes and then the scene where Belle and Tom have that moment. I really love that scene I think that It's so cute! But it also makes me so sad because she just leaves Tom hanging after he asks if they're friends, and she just runs off to Vee. This Bulldog scene is slowly killing me though, lets just say that. I have to fall over and 'break' my arm, but I'm actually falling over every time and it hurts haha. Lets just hope I don't actually break it. But being completely honest I love this scene, it's the first time where the older's realise how they blame Tom for everything.

I think that this was my favourite rehearsal for #YOLO yet. We did the ending scene and I loved it! It felt so good, I don't really know how to describe it, but we were all connected and it felt so natural. It also felt so sad. Like so sad. I really like how we set the chairs out. It's set at a hospital, which is why the chairs were put like that . We didn't want everyone to be cuddled into one space and we also wanted different levels, which is why some of us are stood up and the others are sat down.  We figured out how we'll be bowing as well. Ugh It's just so good!

Today instead of working on #YOLO we all rehearsed for connections. Both the main and understudy cast had a small rehearsal, and then we ended up showing each cast what we have done so far. I loved how they have done theirs so far! It's different which is kind of refreshing, but I love ours too so far. We have around one or two more scenes left to go though then we would have done the whole show. At the end of the lesson we took some photos for the poster. I'll put them down below once they have been edited.
