Week 16- Y2

We have now started to test out the scenes today! I chose to play younger Vee, we got put in random groups and honestly it was super fun! I liked seeing how everyone played the characters that they chose, and I liked seeing how other people played them. Since it was the first time everyone kinda brought it to its feet there was a lot more that could be added but I honestly think that it's already looking good, It's just showing how hard picking the cast is going to be already!

We did quite well with #YOLO today. we managed to do a full read through, which was needed. I read in for Nat, and I really enjoyed it. We all decided who were going to be in the show, and I'm Nat. Its an amazing show which holds so much potential. I can't wait to bring it to life. I believe that me and my year are going to do an amazing job with it, and hopefully we will make a show for everyone to enjoy. The main character is called Jack in this and Mark is going to play him, I really like how it sounded, he put a lot of emotions in his voice, and I can tell that Mark is very passionate about the role.

We got put into two groups today, a lot of people want to go for the same character so we had to swap a few times, luckily for me there's only two of us going for younger Vee so I could stay in the whole time. The main thing that we focused on was how we will be getting on and off the stage. I believe that the transitions are going to be some of the hardest things that we'll be facing for this script. Getting to younger's on the stage for the flashbacks and then off again for the older's to come back on..... it's all going to be a little hectic. We came up with an idea to just keep the older's on stage. I thought that the lighting could do a lot of the work. Like have a light on the kids and have it all dimmed out on the older's when there not in a scene and have them freeze. Something along the lines of that, but it's only a little idea and I'm sure others have plenty of ideas too.

Standing at the sky's edge!!! WOW!!! it was amazing. the best piece of theatre I have EVER scene. Okay I haven't seen much butttt I'm sure most would agree with me when I say how brilliant it was. I may do a separate blog post talking about it was so incredible.
