Week Six- Y2

I got the role of Ivy for the horror Globe tour!!!!!! I am so so soooo happy. At first I didn't really mind what role I ended up getting at first but after I did my audition I ended up really wanting it. I'm so incredibly happy that I ended up getting it. I haven't had a main role in a really long time so it feels really nice to be able to work on it again. I also ended up reallyy liking the character, I felt like I had connected to her in some way. Even though she only has around 5 lines, I'd still say that she is an important character. My Olive is a lovely girl called Millie from the first year. She is so amazing at being Olive. I had gone through the scene a lot of times today to help some people in my class with there scenes and for there audition of Olive and Ivy. Me and a girl called Sienna who is trying to get the role of Olive showed Josh who is helping us with the Globe (He works there), and he really enjoyed it. I forgot to mention that we had a short singing lesson with Tom, and rehearsed the muppets. Some people were not in the last lesson so we caught them up to date. Not everyone learnt their lines which was quite frustrating as that's probably one of the only things that's holding our performance back.

I had a very unexpected day today. I went into lesson, and was told to go downstairs to the makeup room to get my makeup done for Ivy Close, as the makeup students need to do a trail for the Globe. I wasn't prepared at all, so I had my normal makeup on. It was insane. They did it so well! It was very different to what I thought it was going to be like. I thought that they were going to make her beautiful, so I just thought that the makeup would be like normal theatre makeup but more glam and vintage. It turned out like this:
It's like how I imagined it to be but in black and white and of course a little more exaggerated. But it makes way more sense since shes now passed away. It also makes it more freakier. After lunch I got my hair done by another makeup student. They did a Victorian hairstyle:
I then got told that I had to film a little promo for the Globe because of how well my makeup turned out, and that my teachers thought it was a good way of not wasting the makeup students time. I wish I had known that I was doing it because I would have of learnt the lines in time. But I just looked at the lines and presented them. We filmed in the green screen room. It was such a cool set up! there were many different lights to make it look super eerie and creepy. There was one line which was so hard and I had to film around 5 times because I kept on getting one word wrong. I can't wait to see the full thing! I'll post it here when it's out:

We did a full rehearsal of cast one today! I've been changed to cast two now, as the Olive in the other cast can't do the show on Monday. This means that I didn't get rehearse as Ivy today but I found out that I'm going to be a wax character. My favourite past was the vaudeville piece. It was amazing! Here are some pictures that I took of today's rehearsals:
I'd say the things that need working on are the wax characters, as the way they move needs to be wayyyy way more creepier. Another one was just the main characters, Charles, Alfred and Mrs Chadwick to learn their lines as it would move a lot more smoothly.
