Week Four- Y2

I thought that we were going to have another singing lesson today but we ended up going to the Globe and getting a tour! I really liked finding out the history of the Globe. Last year I and three other people volunteered to go to the Globe so it was quite similar but I found out a few more little facts. Here is how it started: We were in the front entrance for a while and we talked about what we were going t do whilst we were there. We got shown the upper circle and then we got taken down to the lower part of the circle. Afterwards We got shown on the stage and then the makeup room. Here are some facts that I found out in today's visit:

♡A boy was trapped in a fire in the projection room by a friend by accident and has passed away

♡A man passed away on the front row of the audience. People actually thought that he was sleeping but really he was gasping for his last breath

♡The two brothers who made the Globe, Charles & Alfred. were a butcher and the other was an owner of a sweet shop. 

♡There was a girl who had to be taken to the hospital because she screamed so hard when she saw the Beatles that something in her stomach exploded

So today we all started talking about characters that we want to include in the horror Globe tour. Here are some of our ideas:

After writing down the characters we put our names down on the characters that we are interested for. I put my name down for: Ivy, Olive, Usherette and some vaudeville characters. After lunch we went to the film studio and done a lesson for the award winning writing company. I can't remember I if I have spoken about it. Kelly and my class have been given an opportunity to write a script for connections. If we win. our show will be preformed for connections next year. Of-course we can pick if we want to do it. I chose to do it as it will look good and also help with my writing. We started doing some free writing. There was a jammy dodger in the room and we had to write about it for around 3 mins. and then again but with the colour red. The craziest things come to mind but you just write them all own and it can make a great story! The activities we have done today were really fun and I can see this script will turn out great with everyone's imagination and creativity.

Its Lonely hearts day again! Today's lesson we got to go out on a date with another character. I had a date with a character named Brian. He is a rich man who does acting, dancing and modelling. Hes also has got a Ferrari. Even though he is rich, he doesn't let that be his personality. We went on a date to an ice-cream shop, during our date we asked each other questions about our life and interests. I believe that our characters are compatible. It was honestly quite hard to stay in character and not talk about my own interests, but I did it! I would say that I stayed in character the whole time. We then ended up going to a jazz class with a few other characters which was a fun date for our characters. This lesson is honestly so so good with helping me to improve my improvisation! After lunch we talked a little about university's and then we went to 224 and decided that we were not going to do the sic-com anymore but make a music video instead as no one really wanted to do the sic-com.

We read through the whole of the #Yolo script today. I think that its a good show, that us as the second years could really make it come to life. Now that we have read through it, we will began to do some research about it and then hold auditions for the role that we would like to play. I think that there are two good characters called Josie who is Jack's brother, and Lucy who is Jack's girlfriend.
