BLOOD BROTHERS: PROJECT PROPOSAL

Section One: Rationale

Before starting this course I had major anxiety, I never had the courage to do anything out of my comfort zone. I also had never done any sort of acting before except from some school plays where I was a tree and a snowflake. This course has really helped to educate me in both stage and screen. It’s also really helped with my anxiety allow me to get out of my comfort zone which is allow me to perform a lot better. Before starting, I was only interested in the film and TV side, I also really enjoy stage acting too. What is gaining confidence I know I’m aiming to get the main role of Linda in Blood Brothers. 

Section Two: Project Concept

My aim for this project is to do my research on a very well known and loved show, “blood Brothers”. By just doing, character work/development, backstory work and accent work has already helped me to to understand the show. If I carry on working on those, I should be able to fully deepen my understanding. I am aiming to get the role of Linda. Linda goes through a few pages in the show, which means I have to portray many different mannerisms. She also has a lot of emotions. Linda also has a Scouse accent, which I find very difficult. Going for Linda who is out of my comfort zone, it’s really going to help with my confidence. If I get the main role of Linda, or any role actually I will carry on to do more character research to fully understand the character, so that I can engage the audience when performing, allowing the audience to capture every moment. Linda is very out there and In some scenes she is a tease and very flirtatious, which is probably the most part that I am nervous for. A heard scene in the show is when Linda is panicking and has to go tell Mrs Johnston about Mickey going after Eddie. 

Section Three: Evaluation 

Whilst working on Blood Brothers I will ensure to reflect on my work by doing my daily blogs and looking back on what I did. I will ensure to talk about what I did on that day, how I can be better and what I think I did well. I'll also mention what I learnt that day. I'll take videos and photos and upload them on my weekly posts to show what I have been doing through the process of Blood Brothers. If I don't get the role of Linda, I will talk about what i can do to make the role I get even better.
