Were back after the Easter break, and the first thing we did was talk about the auditions for Blood Brothers! very exciting, as this is going to be our end of year show which is really important. We are also going to be doing another show which is going to be a showcase of all of Willy Russel's work. That show is going to be managed completely by the second years. There is one show that's going to be in it that I'm interested in called, 'Stags and Hens'. We have already seen part of the script for Stags and Hens as we used it to try and improve our Scouse accent. Afterwards our teacher Kelly asked some people if they wanted to go to the Globe with her as we are going to be doing something in there in September/October time this year. Me and my friends, Kadie, Sienna and Jokes went to help out. What we are going to be doing in the Globe is for Halloween. I don't really know how to explain it but we are in some way going to be doing a tour of the globe to anyone who buys a ticket and comes. In this tour we will have to kind of spook them since it's Halloween. We'll also have to educate them slightly about the Globe. We had someone who works at the Globe show us around (It was amazing), and he also gave us some facts and background knowledge about it! Whilst touring the Globe we came up with ideas for a few characters we can use and what we can do in each room. I won't give off too much but we have come up with a really good story which has in some way turned into a murder mystery which I think is super fun! Since its a murder mystery the people who come to visit will have to figure out the murder. This is going to be so exciting and I can't wait to get started on it, but first lets do Blood Brothers.

Today we had a full day either working on the Stella Adler power point or practising for our auditions this THURSDAY! Me and my partner Kadie went to the LRC and i showed her what I did for the power-point, we read through it and also pretended we were presenting it and added things on that were not on the power-point as we didn't want to overload the power-point. Afterwards we went to the theatre and I began learning my lines for Linda. I have a few more to learn and I'm also going to be working on my Scouse accent as much as possible before the audition!

Today my teacher Kelly helped us with our audition for tomorrow. We were given a sheet, to help us try to understand our character. These were thing that we had to fill out.
Reasons I selected this role:
-Linda has a Scouse accent, which I find really difficult
-She also presents a lot of emotions, she's happy, flirty and at the end very stressed and unhappy.
-All these things are challenges which I'd like to add to my portfolio.
Tell me a little about the character you are portraying:
-Linda is a character who in some way holds the friendship group of Mickey and Eddie.
-She adds a lot of characterisation
-Linda is a hard working girl, who just wants the best for everyone
What research we did for the role:
-I researched about the 1970's as the scene I'm doing for the audition she is 25 in the 1970's.
-In the 1970's people aren't treated equally, the rich are treated well and looked up to highly whereas the poor are treated horribly and as if there animals.
-Equality was probably the biggest thing people were fighting for in the 1970's, woman were still treated as if men were better and jobs were hard for woman to get and if they had one they would get paid poorly
Further research I',m going to do for this role:
-I want to research about the place Linda grew up in, I know that were she grew up was scruffy, but I want to find out more as it will allow me to connect to Linda more

It's audition day! I had my audition at 2:35. Everyone was saying how well they were doing so I'm so proud of them but it also made me really nervous. Before the audition I practised a lot and made sure I knew my lines. I looked at the mirror and made sure that all the right emotions were presented at that moment in time. I was happy that I was able to make myself tear up, when it got really stressful. Before every audition I'm always super nervous, and I don't feel confident at all. Now how I think the audition went. I personally am not happy with how it went. I think that it could have gone so much better. I just didn't feel connected, and I felt like I could have shown so much more emotions. I also felt super stiff and that I just looked awkward. I don't really know what else to say I just didn't feel like it went well, which is so annoying because I really want to challenge myself and get the part of Linda. Something I think that went well was my Scouse accent. I'm proud that It went well especially since I was absolutely terrible at it. If i get called back for the chemistry test, I know that, it will go so much better since there will be someone to actually talk to instead of the wall.
