Week Nineteen

 07/02/2022

The first thing we talked about today was Blood Brothers. We all got in a circle and said who we really liked. I said Linda and Mrs Johnston. Most people also said these characters. We then said who we want to audition for. I said Linda as did nearly all the other girls. We then began discussing what we really liked about the show. I said that I really loved the set. It was so realistic and detailed and brought the show to life. I loved every bit of the show but another thing I loved was the relationships between the characters. After everyone said what they liked we had to talk about what we didn't like. I didn't not like anything busy since  we had to say something I just said that I thought that the gun shots were too loud. After we discussed the show, we went through the same scenes as last time. This means I didn't get anymore new lines. This allowed me and my group to practise our previous lines. 

08/02/2022

Today we worked on our characters and made a sheet for it( I'll upload this as my next post labelled as 'Remote- character development work sheet'). We then also worked on some of the assignments that we have been given. For this assignment, we have to make a video or anything physical that will display our character. Everyone discussed what there idea for this task is. I came up with an idea to make a video of my character showing the people on the internet how to meditate and then talking about crystals. This task will show that my character loves meditation, crystals and spirituality. It will also show that she is a calm and collected person.

09/02/2022

Today we finally went through the whole show! This means everyone has been given all there lines. Since we have been given all our lines we can work on learning them and also seeing how we are going to say them. The main characters can now also begin to block out where they need to go. Whilst going through the show the past couple of days weve have mostly been concentrating on giving out the lines to the right people. The main characters have blocked out one part of the show so far and it looks really good.

10/02/2022

Today we did something very new. We got taught about script writing and about what makes a good screen story. The firs thing we got asked to write down was:

-What are favourite story is?: My favourite story is all the Harry potters

-Why its our favourite story?: Its my favourite story because I love fantasy and magic. I love how the main characters are all so different yet have the strongest bond I've seen. 

We then got told what basic level most stories start with:

-A lead character discovers that hey want something

-They then get into trouble for trying to get what they want

-They now how to get out of trouble to get what they want  

-And at the end of the story, win or loose, the character usually realises that they now want something else instead

-Or need to change there attitude to other people in order to get what they want

At the end of the lesson we were told that we have to create a start of a story concluding of 250 words. Were aloud to pick what category we want it to be about and it must end in a cliff hanger. The reason it must end in a cliff hanger is because another person will have to carry it on. My teacher said that it can be as crazy as we want it to be. The only thing my teacher said was that it must begin with:

-...You received a letter informing you that you have won a competition

-...Your brother/mother announced they were leaving

-...You found something strange in the cereal

-...You realised that you were the only person left in the world

-...You knew something that no one else did

I'm going to be writing mine up this weekend and posting it on here as well. I used to really like writing stories so I hope all my ideas come back to my brain. I'm thinking of writing a horror as for some reason I find them the easiest to get in depth too. I also think that I'll start it with the last option. 

Update(13/02/2022) My story: Now I know something that no one else does. What should I do? Do I tell anyone? Do I keep this to myself? I have no time to stop and think, I just have to keep running. My lungs feel as if they're about to collapse and explode. I can hear my heart beating inside the core of my ears. The taste of ion rising up to my mouth. I can feel the adrenaline rushing through my body, but is it enough? Each step I take feels heavier and heavier. It's still following me. I can hear it getting closer and closer. Its black slender body is drifting behind me. I can hear its croaking sirens coming out of its large malicious scowl that touch its white marble eyes. No one can help me. I’m surrounded by nothing but the bottle green forest trees. In front of me I could see a sharp ashy stone. Without hesitation I picked it up and threw it behind me. I couldn't bear to look at it again but how do I know if it stopped? I can’t hear its horrifying sounds anymore. Slowly I turn my neck. It’s gone. Did I actually hit it?! I collapse to the floor trying to gasp for air. I couldn't seem to stop myself from trembling in fear. What just dropped on my head? Bloody saliva. My body began moving on its own. I ran like an animal. Until I reached the edge of a cliff. I have nowhere left to run.
