Week Fourteen

 13/12/2021

Today in class, cast two rehearsed the whole show. I'm not in cast two, so I was able to get ideas on what I can do by watching them. The Charlie in cast two is portrayed completely different to the way I portray him. I believe that this is a good thing as it will be more exciting when the two shows are watched. It does although make it a little harder as I have to make it completely my own. Charlie in cast two is portrayed as timid and shy, whereas I portray him as excited and an up beat character. I do believe that both cast need to improve a lot more but hopefully by the end of this week everyone will feel more inspired and really try hard. I have learnt all my lines except one large paragraph. I believe that it has really helped to know most of my lines because I can consecrate on my acting instead of my script. Cast one began working on the rehearsals but we only ended up getting up to cast 4 which was when Willy Wonka shows us the chocolate room. Hopefully tomorrow cast one can go through the whole show, as this will really help me to feel more confident in knowing my lines. Although I know my lines (except one paragraph) I still get nervous to go on without my script because I'm afraid that Ill miss my que, but I'm sure that if I go through the whole show with my script in my hands Ill realise that I wont need it and stop bringing it on stage. By the end of tomorrow I want to be able to stop using my script for all the scenes except scene 4 where I haven't learnt the large paragraph.

Hello, today in class we had learnt all of the cheerleader routine for Violets Umpa Lumpa's. Although I'm not doing Violets Umpa Lumpa dance and chant I thought that it would be better if I learnt it instead of just sitting down doing nothing. Its also good that I learn it because, if someones not able to make it I can fill in. Today we got to also rehearse a little for cast two. They had mostly rehearsed scene 5 because Charlie bucket has a massive paragraph in it. Since I'm not in cast two I mostly just watched, and in my head I would say my lines whilst the other Charlie said theirs. This actually really helped me because it allows me to see what things we do differently and how much it can change the whole scene. 

15/12/2021

Today is our last day of rehearsals before we break up. So today I made sure to REALLY try. I try my hardest everyday but I gave it an extra push today, so I made sure that I am concentrated on everything and really reacting of, of people. Today was the first time that I had done the last scene and there was also a little added on to it, so it was a little difficult to get familiar but I had put my all in to it and I thought that it had turned out to be cute and a really nice ending for Charlie. During the Holidays I will try to read through my lines everyday and make sure to learn the large paragraph. I will also rehearse in my room and maybe record myself a little so that  I can asses myself a little and allow myself to understand what I need to improve on.
