Week Ten

15/11/2021

Today we didn't have to go in, but me and Sienna went in anyway because we wanted to rehearse for our auditions. But our class was taken so we had to go in the changing rooms and rehearse in there. Although we didn't have a good place to rehearse I managed to get all of Veruca's lines down. Later that night I was able to memorise all of Charlies lines.

Hello, today is audition day for Charlie and the chocolate factory! We spent about and hour and a half rehearsing it and going through it slowly. I had spent a lot  of time practising Veruca as I do want to get the role a lot more than Charlie. During our rehearsal I believe that I was doing very well and had them both to a perfect point for me. As I was waiting I was very nervous and shaky. I went in for Charlie first as its a lot shorter and easier. I personally think that I did a good job. I had used a little movement with mostly bouncing very slightly and holding my hands together. Not long next I did my audition for Veruca. I think that I could have done a lot better for her. I stumbled on my words a little and paused which made me go a little of track. Although I do think that I did a good job on her accent, facial expressions and movement. I was a little sad that I had messed up as I really wanted to get Veruca but since I messed up I think that it has lowered my chances of getting her. But this allows me to have more experience for future auditions, which can allow me to preform better as Ill know more on what to do and that in reality its not as scary as I make it out to be  (I don't think ill ever understand that).

Today in class we got to act out a scene from 'Charlie and the chocolate factory'. Kane and Kelly my teachers put us into three groups. In my group I was Charlie. I think that My teachers decided to do this because they were having trouble picking who to cast as who for the show. I personally think that every group was really good. Each groups had a different actor playing a certain role. I also think that it allowed me teachers to see our chemistry and how well we could work together. Such as how well the children and parents would work together and see if they have a good bond. During this I was able to see what I have to do if I do get the role for Charlie. It really helped to see the others, and how they acted out for Charlie, as I was able to see if there are any similarities are differences. I personally think that They were all pretty different, which is a good thing because it will make it more interesting.

Today, i wasn't in class because I'm not feeling. I'm  feeling pretty down as I hate feeling ill and also because the auditions for the feature film were today. I was really excited for them and thought that I was going to do very well. I personally want to be an actor for film and TV and I thought that this feature film would have been perfect for me. Today I also know that we were making a presentation to try and sell of our John Lewis, Christmas adverts. We had to talk about our story, what music we are picking, our cast, location, and background research about past John Lewis adverts. We also have to write a proposal which is a shortened down version of what we wrote on our presentation.
