Week Nine

Hello today we got to read through the script of 'Charlie and the chocolate factory'. It was a tad bit different to what I thought it would be. Maybe because there is a narrator, but when we get our parts and start rehearsing I know that it will be super fun and come to life. I think that when the props and costumes come to life it will really help. I've wanted to try to get the role of Veruca Salt, and now reading the script I think that i still want to try for her. I know that its going to be hard as there are many talented people in the course that are going for her but I'm still going to try. I love the 2nd charlie and the chocolate factory, I'm not to fond of the older version but I know that this play is mostly going to be based of of the book and the first film. Reading through the script I did realise some parts from the second movie which I really liked such as the squirrels instead of the golden egg laying geese, and that he has a father.

Hiya, today we finished recording our voice recording for the 'Jack and the bean stock'. We then added the music for it. All we need to do now is add the farm noises and the giants voice and we are done! Today We also got to read through the script for this years feature film. I really like the story and the characters. We already have auditions for it next Thursday. I've decided to go for Sophie and Jenny. Jenny is the girl who gets murdered and Sophie is Jenny's friend. I thought that since it would be the first thing that I would be getting filmed for that I should start off small. The main characters also have a lot of dialogue, which I don't think I'm prepared for.

Hello, today we wrote down what characters we want to audition for 'Charlie and the chocolate factory', and I wrote down Veruca because I think that she will be such a fun character to play.  Today we also got our audition scripts. Veruca's is very long but at the end of the day I learned about a quarter of it already so I will be able to learn it by time.  Today we also talked about what we want to present the umpa lumpas as. We decided that. Violets Ones will be cheerleaders. Augustus ones will be German and have beer cups in there hands. Mike's will be kind of like a mafia gang. And verucas we be London based with the Queen.

Hello today we got to talk about the Christmas advert. We got into groups with both the acting course and film and TV course. My group is: Me, Sienna, Kadie, Emie, Josh and Tom. We ended up changing our minds and went with the girl who moves to a new school and she is all alone. Shes always seeing a group of friends having fun and taking care of each other. she always wishes she was a part of them. Since shes alone she always goes to the library to read one certain book about friendship. The group of friends realises that shes alone and what book she was reading. One day the girl picks up the same book and a note comes out of it. Its a note from the group of friends. At the end shes with the new group having a lot of fun. We decided to call our group 'In depth', which means that were 'in depth' with our filming and acting. We have also picked a song to go with it: Mad world a cover by Jasmine Thompson.For next week we will have to make a presentation to why our idea should get picked.
