Today in class we found out what roles we got for 'Charlie and the chocolate factory'. I'm really happy because i got the role of Charlie Bucket! A lot of people got the roles they wanted and I'm so proud and happy of everyone. I'm really happy with my cast because I'm closer to them more than the other cast which means that there will be good chemistry. I think that everyone is going to do amazing. After finding out what we got we went into our casts and sat in a circle. We then went through the whole script as a group reading out our lines. This actually really helped as now I know who ill be talking to and how ill be talking to them. The next time we rehearse I want to start learning my lines and then rehearse where ill be and what movements ill be doing.

Hello, today we talked about the importance of talking clearly. As actors we have to make sure to talk clearly so that the audience can understand what we are saying. If they don't know what we are saying then they wouldn't know what is going on in the film, show ect. which would mean that there is no point of watching it. I grew up in the South of England so I have a pretty understandable accent which is lucky. But a lot of my classmates have a Northern accent, which sometimes can be hard to understand for some people. We began to read out some tongue twisters and worked on what words or letters we need to pronounce better so that our audience can understand us.  Some were really hard but we all worked through it slowly. I found out that if you try to tone down your accent it will make it easier to do another accent such as an american accent. I'm absolutely terrible at doing accents so I'm going to try and tone down my accent a little. Ill be working on doing different accents as I know how important they can be. I personally have an accent which pronounces the words quite well as I also don't miss out any sounds.

Today in class we began practising our dance for the German umpa lumpas. We have decided to make some umpa lumpas German for Augustus Gloop. The dance consist a complicated handshake. But We have all got it down and I think that its going to look amazing! We also learnt a short dance for the cheerleader Umpa Lumpa's. These are for Violet Beauregarde. This dance was really simple so everyone got the hang of it pretty quickly. later we then began rehearsing the show. Although we have only done a small section of it, its already looking really good. The Narrators practised their lines. We have also added a background for when the Narrator is speaking. We have made it so that we are acting out what the narrator is saying. This adds a lot of depth into it and also makes it seem funner to watch. At one point Charlie comes in top the background. I made him look very sad as in this scene the narrator is saying how the factory is closed down. I also make him look very sad when everyone wins a golden ticket but him.  We stopped after all four children are interviewed. Today's rehearsal really helped me to see what its going to be like acting out Charlie and how I'm going to have to act around the other children, as I now know how they made their characters and how they are going to present them.

Today in class we were finishing off our presentation for our John Lewis advert. Once everyone finished it we all presented them. I think that everyone had an amazing idea. My favourite idea that another class mate had presented was where a family has a dog that they all love but one day he goes missing, but then on Christmas day he come running back. I think that it really sounds like a John Lewis Christmas advert, as it presents love but also sadness. After everyone presented their ideas me and my group went down to the LRC to see what part we are going to be filming in. We ended up finding a small corner which fits perfectly. We also went and found three books that we can use for it. We have decide that we are going to be filming our advert next Thursday( 2nd of December).
