Task one:
Me and my group decided to do the biology scene from twilight , as it shows the main character's first proper encounter. It's also a good scene for our first 'short film', as it's not too hard. We also all love twilight and think that they are amazing films. We all love the music and how it's a dynamic love story. Sienna said she loves it because of how the characters are portrayed and the overall love story. Jason said he likes Twilight because of the love story and the fantasy of the vampires and werewolves. I overall love this film because of the awesome drama, romance, fantasy and the overall story.
I love the music and make-up, but my favourite part is the vampires and werewolves. The music helps to build tension or make the scene look cool. The make-up helps to make the scene look realistic, and allows the audience to realise who is a vampire, human and a werewolf.
The main cast of twilight is: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Billy Burke and Taylor Lautner. Then there is Justin Chon who plays Eric. The director is Catherine Hardwicke. The cinematographer of twilight is Elliot Davis. The producers of twilight are: Mark Morgan, Greg Mooradain and Wyck Godfrey. The make-up artist is Robin Mathews. I love how it turned out because it really shows what the characters are. Edward is a vampire, we can tell with the make-up as they made the skin lighter and added contacts. A lot of the make-up used was M.A.C. The clothing designer is Michael Wilkinson. Bella wears a lot of long sleeve Henleys and tops to shield her from the cold of Forks. Twilight was set in the year 2005 so it explains why a lot of the clothing was: low raised jeans, boot cut jeans, skinny jeans, denim jackets, knit hats, stripy tops, converse and checked shirts.

Trivia:Robert Pattinson actually plays the piano in the scene where Edward is playing "Bella's Lullaby. Kristen Stewart has naturally green eyes. She wears brown contacts for filming to match Bella's eye colour. The book was originally named "Forks" before it was published. The publisher insisted that Stephanie Meyer could find another name for it, and the word "Twilight" was chosen. The red contacts worn by Laurent, Victoria, and James were hand-painted by the director, Catherine Hardwicke. It took 36 hours to turn Nikki Reed's naturally brunette hair to blonde
Task Three:
Planning: So far we have decided what room we are going to use, the costumes we need and the equipment we need, which is in the biology room. Me, Sienna, Jason and Caitlin are rehearsing our lines getting prepared to film our scene. Sophie and Casey are deciding what shots to take for the scene. We have our scripts for the scene and are now learning our lines getting prepared for when we shoot it. We found the available days that room 244 is available which is on a Thursday, so we've decided that we are going to start shooting on Thursday The 14/10/2021. We are not getting any makeup done as they all look natural in this scene.
equipment: We need a golden onion and a microscope (and parts from our costumes such as earphones, bags and jackets) Costumes: Bella-white long sleeved top with low raised, bell bottom jeans, a hair band, silver necklace, a silver ring and converse. Edward- Grey T-shirt, black baggy jeans, large black bracelet. Eric- Black V-neck Sweater, White T-shirt, small black watch, cream beige jeans/ trousers Mike-Dark red long sleeved top, light brown jacket, Over the shoulder satchel bag, black cap, blue baggy jeans
Location: Room 244/ biology room in the college

Task Four: Production-
We have now filmed all of our scene. I personally think that everyone has done really well, and have tried their hardest. We were able to shoot it in an about an hour. I only had one little shot in it and sadly I felt that I did terrible. The reason I felt that I did bad was because I couldn't do my American accent. This lead me to speaking really fast, which seemed really unnatural in the situation Mike was in. I should have talked a little slower and stumbled on my words to make it seem as if i was nervous. I could have also used more facial expressions. I did fiddle with my hands a lot to make it see like i'm nervous, but that was cut out of the frame. One good thing I did was looking and moving in the right place. My friends on the other hand did amazing. Sienna got the accent and facial expressions on point. Jason developed Edwards character very well. Caitlin got Mikes movements very precise. Casey and Sophie did an amazing job at filming and editing the scene. They were able to get all the right shots. We were able to get the scene precise by making sure that we have analysed the scene well and took notes of where the characters are looking and what movements/ facial expressions they are doing. Sophie and Casey looked at what shots they need to take and how much they need to take whilst also knowing what is in the frame.
How we stayed safe on set:
- We had our teacher supervising us the whole time
- stayed away from any harmful chemicals
- put our bags under the chairs
- tucked all the chairs in
- handed the equipment with delicate care
- acted/ sat sensibly
Added things:
- Teachers voice
- Colour
- Music
Task Five: Evaluation-
I personally think that it had come out great. Everyone did an amazing job. Things that I think went well were: The camera work was great and was very similar to the original. The editing was really good and also very similar. Sienna, Jason and Caitlin all did such a good job. They adapted to the character and were able to act it out very similar to the original. They got the movement and facial expressions on point. What I think could have gone better were: I could have done a lot better. I talked really fast and it seemed like I was rapping. As I've said before I should have of talked a lot slower and stumbled on my words to make it seem like I'm nervous. I also cold have used more facial expressions. One good thing that I did was the fidgeting with my hands and my movement from walking one place to another. One thing I think that me Jason and Caitlin should have done was practise our American accent as it would have made our scene more precise and would have helped us to feel more confident. I hated my American accent so it did make me feel less confident which is also why I talked really fast. I also think we should have rehearsed our scene completely, as we didn't act it out once only read our lines out together, This would also have helped us to feel more confident, and would have allowed us to make it look more like the original. My biggest challenge through would have been my American accent. I believe the lighting could have of been a little better on my scene but the rest I believe was good. I also think that we should have gotten more actors for the background so that it looks more alive and like an actual classroom. One thing that I learnt in this process is that you shouldn't stop acting until the people filming say cut. Another thing that I have learnt is that Filming takes a while. Although our scene only 3 mins long it took a whole our too film. But I really liked the process so it didn't bother me. For my first time properly filming something I believe that it had gone okay.
